About
Mary G. Marso, Owner & CEO

I was initially employed by Jeane Thorne in the early 1980's when I was paid a nickel by my mother (Mary Marso) for every applicant folder I assembled. In high school, I worked on several Jeane Thorne temporary assignments, and during my years at the University of St. Thomas, continued working at Jeane Thorne part time before joining the firm full time in 1996 following my graduation from college. Over the next eight years, I learned a number of different roles before taking a minority ownership role in the business and assuming my current title in 2003.

The changes over the past few years have been especially exciting for me as we centralized our physical locations to one larger office in Minneapolis and relocated our Mankato office; updated our operational technology; and added Financial and Legal divisions. Today, our world of paper (although still available for those who prefer it) has been transitioned on-line. Our on-line application and job cart are synchronized with our internal database. Jeane Thorne offers on-line training and testing, on-line timecards, and a majority of our recruitment is done via on-line job boards. Our clients can also view their Jeane Thorne assignments and billings at their convenience via our website. This evolution has sped up our ability to transact business, added efficiencies for our internal staff, and saved the world a lot of trees!

But what gets me out of bed on a cold, Monday morning are our employees - the idea of putting good people to work. Not just finding people employment, but bridging them into great Minnesota job matches and careers even faster than they could have found on their own. Building a successful business is crucial, but it is trumped by maintaining a business based on integrity where my co-workers and I enjoy coming to work. Thank you for working with us and making Jeane Thorne the leader in staffing that it is today and will continue to be tomorrow!
