Andrew has been a long time employee of Jeane Thorne Inc., beginning
with afternoons throughout high school; and continuing during
college when he worked as an Account Coordinator and Recruiter for
the company, learning the ropes of the staffing industry.
In the fall of 1996, Andrew assumed a full time role in a
sales capacity at JTI’s Minneapolis location.
He quickly grew the company’s smallest office by 250%, and
was named the top sales person in the company in 1998, with over one
million dollars in personal sales.
In 1999, Andrew was promoted to Branch Manager in Minneapolis
and continued to succeed in building a stronger staff team and
presence in the downtown Minneapolis market.
2003 has been an
eventful year thus far for Andrew.
In January, his wife Kari gave birth to their first child,
Isabella. Andrew
continues to volunteer at the House of Hope Loaves & Fishes
program serving meals to people in the Frogtown area, and in the Big
Brothers/Big Sisters program. In his leadership role he is active in JTI’s efforts to
raise funds for St. Joseph’s Home for Children through its annual
golf invitational; he sustains the annual academic scholarships JTI
offers to its temporary employees, the Presidential Scholarships
offered at MSU – Mankato, and an endowment at the University of
St. Thomas; and continues JTI’s 10+ year membership as a major
contributor to the Minnesota Keystone Program, with a commitment of
more than 5% of net profits to meet needs in the Minnesota
community.
Andrew
currently serves as Public Relations Chair for the Staffing
Association of MN; and is actively involved in the American Staffing
Association, Inner Circle International, Toastmasters, and the
Greater Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce.
He is currently participating in the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce Leadership
St. Paul class of 2004. He holds Management Certification from the Staffing Industry
Management Institute of Chicago; and a Bachelor's degree in
Financial Management from the University of St. Thomas.
In managing the
sales and operations components of JTI over the past several years,
Andrew has succeeded in promoting the vision and principles of JTI
in all facets of the company. His tenacity in adhering to the company’s mission of
providing world class service and innovative solutions holds much in
store for the company in the years ahead.
Current initiatives under his lead include an increased focus
on the use of online recruitment tools and methods; the recent
launch of online computer training capabilities for JTI employees;
the launch of online testing capabilities; and integration of the
online application process with the company’s database.
Andrew’s efforts continue to improve the efficiency of
Jeane Thorne Inc.’s operations while raising the bar for services
offered to its clients and employees.
In
the years ahead, Andrew looks to further solidify Jeane Thorne
Inc.’s strong brand in the Minnesota marketplace and continue to
his business development efforts through hard work, innovation, and
maintaining the company’s commitment to world class service.
